Favorite story: Who knew that coupons I designed for Carol Wright would later get me a lucrative project with Clairol?  The CD who hired me said that her CEO saw the coupons in my portfolio as he walked by and said “hire whoever did those—anyone who can make that crap look good is a genius.” I worked with that small agency in Westport doing a “relationship marketing” program for Clairol customers. It had a quarterly booklet that went out filled with make-up and hair beauty tips, coupons and product “how to’s.” We also did a monthly webpage related to the program. All of it was great fun for me, even did a fair amount of photography for the articles. Delightful.
